I’ve been wanting to write this post for a while now. Over 3 years, truth be told.
We frequently observed a particular pattern of words while in Poland that is too fantastic to be overlooked. Fantastic because it allowed me to understand much more than I really had any right to.
In many cases where perhaps a term is new to the world (or just to Poland) or for other linguistic reasons I can’t explain, a “y” is added to the end of an English word to turn it into Polish.
